Specifications: All RICE baskets are handcrafted from Raffia, which naturally varies in color, and this variation is reflected in the dyeing process; sometimes the color is light, other times more intense. This means no two baskets are exactly the same. The shape may also vary slightly, adding to the charm of their handmade nature. If you order multiple baskets, we will send the ones that are closest in hue and shape. Unfortunately, we cannot provide photos of the different variants.

About the material: Raffia fibers are an amazing natural material, sourced from palm leaves, and Rice's raffia is from Madagascar. All raffia products are made with love—they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, contributing to better resources for the villagers. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Since raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in color, shape, and size. Colors will fade if exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid water, as it can cause color to bleed.
