Note: All RICE baskets are handmade from Raffia, which naturally varies in color, and this variation is reflected in the dyeing process. Sometimes the dye is light, other times more intense. This means that no two baskets are completely identical. The same goes for the shape; there may also be slight differences here. We believe it's part of the charm that you can see the product is handmade. If you order multiple baskets at once, we will send you those that are closest in color and shape. Unfortunately, we cannot provide photos of the different variations.

About the material: Raffia fibers are a fantastic natural material; they come from palm leaves, and Rice's raffia originates from Madagascar. All raffia products are made with heart—they are produced in two villages in Madagascar's mountains, where the production contributes to better and more resources for the villagers. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. As raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in color, shape, and size. Colors will fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid water, as it may cause color transfer.
