In Tintin i Amerika, the story takes us to Chicago during Prohibition in the 1930s, where Tintin and Terry soon find themselves in trouble. With Al Capone at their head, the city’s gang bosses have prepared for the young reporter’s arrival, and Tintin soon finds himself caught up in a dangerous conflict between rival criminal gangs. The adventure also takes Tintin to Redskin City in the Wild West, where further dangers await.
This retro edition presents Hergé’s classic story in its first colour version and is inspired by the original Belgian first edition. The book is bound in classic paper stock and features a faux-leather spine. It is the very first colour version of each story, in an edition that closely reflects the original first edition published in Hergé’s home country, Belgium.
