The basket is spacious and ideal for storing toys, clothes, or other items that you want to keep handy, while still looking neat and decorative.

All RICE baskets are handmade from Raffia, which naturally varies in color, meaning that sometimes the baskets are light, and other times they sport a richer hue. This means that no two baskets are exactly alike. The same goes for the shape; there can be slight differences. We believe it adds to the charm that you can see the product is handmade. If you order more than one basket at a time, we will send the ones closest in color and shape. Unfortunately, we cannot provide photos of the different variants.

About the material: Raffia fibers are an incredible natural material, sourced from palm leaves, and Rice's Raffia comes from Madagascar. All raffia products are crafted with heart—they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where the production contributes to improved resources for the villages' inhabitants. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Since raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will slightly vary in color, shape, and size.
