Gækkebreve
The most beautiful gækkebreve I received were from my grandmother. She meticulously cut the most beautiful patterns, but the icing on the cake was the pressed snowdrops. Traditionally, the snowdrop should be included as it signifies trickery towards the recipient. Creating gækkebreve is a hyggelig and fun activity, and who wouldn't want to win an Easter egg - or more ;-)
Decorating Eggs
Most people are familiar with decorating eggs - but it can be done in many different ways. You can paint eggs with watercolors. Easter Egg Hunt
Children love the tradition of finding eggs in the garden that the 'Easter Bunny' has laid. Generally, a bunny doesn’t lay eggs, but children don't mind as long as there is chocolate in store ;-) For older children, you can create an Easter treasure hunt with riddles and challenges that must be solved along the way. They love putting in a little effort.
Roll Eggs
You can also find a hill nearby and ‘roll eggs.’ It’s a competition where you roll eggs down a hill. The one whose egg rolls the farthest wins. A cosy and fun activity for both children and adults.
