As raffia is a natural material, each basket varies slightly in colour and size, so no two are exactly alike.

Please note: Gift wrapping is unfortunately not available for this product.

All RICE baskets are handmade from raffia, which naturally varies in colour. This means that no two baskets are exactly alike. Their shapes can also vary slightly. We think it’s part of the charm that you can see each product is handmade. If you order several baskets at once, we’ll send you baskets that are as similar as possible in colour and shape. Unfortunately, we can’t provide photos of the different variations.

About the material: Raffia fibres are a wonderful natural material made from palm leaves. RICE raffia comes from Madagascar, where every raffia product is made with care. The products are made in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, and production helps provide the villagers with more resources and opportunities. It supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. As raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in colour, shape and size. The colours may fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid contact with water, as it may cause the colour to run.
