Frequently Asked Questions about Children's Beds

When should my child have a toddler bed?

Most children sleep in a tremmeseng during their earliest years. As your child grows more independent or tries to climb out of the tremmeseng, it’s usually time to consider moving to a children’s bed or a juniorseng. For many families, this transition takes place when the child is about 2 to 3 years old, but the ideal timing always depends on your child’s development and unique needs.
What size children's bed should I choose?

Many children begin their journey in a juniorseng measuring 70 x 160 cm, creating a safe and comforting transition from the crib. As your child grows, many of our juniorsenge can be extended or converted into larger models, allowing them to adapt seamlessly to your child's development and be enjoyed for years to come. If you prefer a more spacious option from the start, a 90 x 200 cm børneseng is a popular choice, offering ample room for both sleeping and relaxing.
Which is better: a junior bed or a standard children's bed?

A juniorseng is ideal for younger children, while a larger children's bed provides extra space and will last for many years. Your choice comes down to your child’s age and the available room space.
Which children's bed is ideal for a small children's room?

If space is at a premium, a højseng can be a smart solution, maximizing vertical space and giving you extra room on the floor. Our højsenge are available in both compact and larger sizes, making them ideal for children aged 6 and up.
What bedding is suitable for a child's bed?

It depends on the size of the bed. With us, you'll find children's bedding in various sizes to fit cribs, junior beds, and larger children's beds.
What materials are best for children's beds?

Solid wood and other durable quality materials are popular choices because they are hard-wearing, stable, and can withstand many years of use.
What kind of bed should a 1-year-old sleep in?

Most 1-year-olds still sleep soundly in a tremmeseng, offering your child a secure and comforting place to sleep. Many tremmesenge feature an adjustable base that can be lowered as your child grows more active and starts to stand up. This lower base helps prevent your child from climbing over the edge, ensuring added safety. Only when your child attempts to climb out of the tremmeseng, or when it no longer meets their needs, is it time to consider a junior bed or another type of children's bed.
Which bed should a 2-year-old sleep in?

Most 2-year-olds still sleep soundly and securely in a tremmeseng with the mattress base in the lowest position. This low setting offers added safety as your child becomes more active, starts to stand up, or tries to climb. Only when your child is ready for greater independence, or the tremmeseng feels too small, is it time to upgrade to a juniorseng.
Which bed is suitable for a 3-year-old?

At around 3 years old, many children are ready to move from a crib to a juniorseng. A juniorseng provides a reassuring and smooth transition, as its low height allows your child to get in and out on their own, and many designs can be fitted with a bed rail for added safety. If you choose a juniorseng that can be extended as your child grows, you'll enjoy a solution that adapts to your child's needs for years to come.
Which bed is suitable for a 5-year-old?

A 5-year-old is typically ready for a proper børneseng, offering plenty of space for both sleep and relaxation. If you're looking for a long-term solution, it can be advantageous to choose a model from the junior bed age that can be converted or expanded into a larger bed. This way, the bed grows with your child, ensuring joy and comfort for many years to come.
