This means no two bags are exactly the same. The same goes for the shape—there might be slight differences as well. We believe this adds to the charm, showing that the product is handmade.

About the material: Raffia fibers are a fantastic natural material that comes from palm leaves, and RICE's raffia is sourced from Madagascar. All raffia products are made with heart—they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where the production helps improve resources for the towns' residents. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Since raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, each product will vary slightly in color, shape, and size. The colors will fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight.
